Assignment Title: The affects of business environment in expansion of business in Bangladesh

 

(a)     Concept of Business:

 A business is defined as an organization or enterprising entity engaged in commercial, industrial, or professional activities. Business is the process by which people carry out legitimate economic activities for the purpose of making a profit.

 

Raising chickens, cultivating vegetables and crops to produce food for family members is not a business. But when a farmer grows paddy, vegetables, fruits or crops for profit, he is considered a business.

 

However, all economic activities conducted for the purpose of making profit will be considered as business if they are conducted in a lawful and proper manner under the law of the land. So the work that we call business has to have four basic elements.

 

 e.g:

A. Economic work

B. The purpose of profit

C. Risk                                  

D. Validity

 

Without these four elements no work can be called business. There are other common characteristics of business that set it apart from other professions. The product or service involved in the business must have financial value.

 

Another characteristic of business is that it has a risk relationship. Basically, a businessman invests in the hope of making a profit. In addition to making a profit through business activities, it is also important to have a service attitude.

 

 

(b)    Types of Business:

At present business is not limited to buying and selling goods. Business is also a combination of goods, services and services, production, exchange and ancillary work.

 Transportation, insurance, banking, warehousing and advertising, marketing also play an important role in assisting in the exchange of goods or commodities. All this is part of the business.

Modern business is mainly divided into three types..
